Fresh Lens Chicago is a non-profit that teaches digital photography skills to Chicago youth. I spoke with its leaders, Shirley and Denise. While concepts like aperture, shutter speed and ISO are certainly covered in the program, I learned that other skills are really being taught. Skills such as teamwork, and persistence.
Shirley and Denise have unique backgrounds that lead them right into this experience of running Fresh Lens Chicago.
